I've been keeping an unofficial log of my training for Ride for Africycle 2.0. I'm up to nearly 750km already, which is pretty cool. It's been very enjoyable so far; well, for the most part. Biking from Port Hope back to Peterborough, in a near constant ascent, with a steady headwind was not 100% enjoyable. It was rewarding to finish though.
Sponsors are welcome for the ride. You can sponsor by the kilometer, or an amount for the full 9 day, 1000km trip. Let me know if you can help.
David Blondel, one of my fellow Ride For Africylce 2.0 riders, and original Ride For Africycle 1.0 rider, will be taking a short break from our training schedule, to do some work. He'll be on set for the filming of a movie called Away From Here, and blogging about it all. Check it out, now and often.
We're done. I have to end it. I can't have you around anymore. It's not you, it's me.
I know, I know... We had good times together. You were there for me when I needed you most. But, if I'm honest with myself, and with you, I've moved on. I just don't feel anything for you anymore. I'm actually a bit relieved to be saying this, but I'm quite confident that as we part ways I'll never have to see you again.
Thanks for the memories. I don't owe you anything.
D.
